Balik Pulau - Penang

Balik Pulau is on the south west side of Penang Island. I have an old friend coming from there and he is a now a PhD holder from Strathclyde University Scotland.
The road to Balik Pulau is a bit winding and narrow but not too difficult to drive.  There are big trees beside the road and when you drive further in, the big concrete sky scrapers are slowing vanishing from sight.
Balik Pulau is a small town but yet the property price is extremely high because it is in the Island where land is scarcity.
There is small church in the town which built in 1854! On the way to Balik Pulau you can find a house beside the road selling home-made laksa! The noodle is in a small bowl but yet tasty and yummy.
There is a lot of orchard in Balik Pulau where you can find fresh tropical fruits like durian, rambutan and mangosteen.  Some people claim the durian here is the best.
I didn’t have much time to really explore Balik Pulau during the first visit so I promised myself to come back again.
