Wall Paintings - George Town Penang

Nowadays almost every visitor will try to take a look at the walls paintings whenever they visit George Town. Especially the youngsters, you can see them posing in front camera with the paintings.

There are 8 wall paintings done by a Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic. Some say there are 9 wall paintings including the two broken-heart-shape on the telephone booths in Love Lane but I don't think that one is interesting.

So the location of the paintings are in Lebuh Armenian, Lehuh Ah Quee, Lebuh Cannon, Jalan Penang, Jalan Muntri and last one in Chew Jetty. Next time when you are in George Town Penang, try see them all!

Old Buildings - George Town Penang

The pre-war buildings in George Town is a great thing to see. I  like old buildings, they have style and characters epecially the door and window.  Modern buildings are too dull and commercial. The doors are just flat wood, windows are just rectangular shape with glass.

May be it brings back my childhood memory, I like old buildings very much. If I can afford to build my own house, I will definately build one that similar to these old buildings and most importantly build a courtyard in the middle of the house!

The Clan Jetty - George Town Penang (姓氏桥 - 槟城)

The Clan Jetty is a unique place in George Town Penang because each Chinese Clan has their own jetty.

There are still people living the wooden house in this place. A good place to take photos especially at the Chew Jetty.
